Carla Herrod: Latest News

Hello All - 11 June 2007

Hello everyone. As most of you would know I am in semi-retirement at the moment. I am kicking back doing the family thing and wont be playing any gigs or recording anything new for a while. I know I've kept promising to, but time just keeps flying by.
Thanks to everyone who keeps emailing me and sorry I don't get back to many of you, but I do read them all.

Best wishes always
Carla.

Gympie Muster is over.. - 28 August 2005

Wow! My first ever Gympie Muster is over. We had a great time at the three gigs and thanks so much to everyone who came along and had a listen and bought my album. I am back in Brisbane today taking it easy (I didn't get much sleep for the past week) so it will be good to have a few days to relax.

Bye bye bus!! - 22 August 2005

Well, it's sad but true, my lovely little bus has now been sold... It was great and I am sad to see it go, but as I have now settled in Brisbane, it seemed a waste to have it parked int the driveway with nothing to do. I do wish I had it to take to the Gympie Muster this weekend though, cos it sure as hell would be a lot more comfortable than camping! Anyhow, it's got some nice new owners and it currently on it's way to Airlie Beach and I'm sure it will get to do a lot more travelling with them, and I will just have to fly and drive from now on.

Venue Change for Gympie Muster - 2 August 2005

For those of you who had noted the times and venues for shows, there has been a change for the Friday night gig - it is now at the wine bar at 9.30pm instead of The Grove. See you all there!

Thanks everyone who came and saw me at Caboolture on the weekend. I celebrated my birthday on the Sunday (not telling how old). Keep your ears out for "Boy for the weekend" on the radio, it will be the new single, and will be released in a week or so.
cheers Carla

See you there, maybe.
Cheers, Carla

Cole Clark Sponsorship - 12 February 2005

After my amazing time at Tamworth (wow, nominated for a Golden Guitar just 6 months after my debut album was released), I am proud to announce my new relationship with Cole Clark Guitars. Cole Clark are a newly formed company (3 years) and are currently producing some very amazing sounding (and looking) instruments in their Melbourne factory.

I will be heading down to the Cole Clark factory in Melbourne in the upcoming months to pick up my beautiful new "Fat Lady 2" model guitar and hopefully do a couple of gigs down there to "break it in".
